W poniedziałek 5 listopada 2018 r. na rosyjskim kanale telewizyjnym RTR Planeta o godzinie 19.00 odbędzie się premiera nowego serialu historycznego „Godunow” w reżyserii Aleksieja Andrianowa. W zrealizowanym z wielkim rozmachem serialu w rolę cara Borysa Godunowa wcielił się znany rosyjski aktor Siergiej Biezrukow. Obok niego w serialu występuje cała plejada gwiazd rosyjskiego kina, m.in. Siergiej Makowieckij, Swietłana Chodczenkowa, Anna Michałkowa, Wiktor Suchorukow, Andriej Mierzlikin, Anna Michalczuk, Marija Andriejewa, Aleksandr Ustiugow, Władimir Stiekłow i wielu innych. W roli Maryny Mniszech, polskiej szlachcianki, która przez kilka dni była carycą Rosji, wystąpiła młoda polska aktorka Olga Kalicka.
Akcja rozgrywa się w XVI wieku na Kremlu w Moskwie, gdzie zaczynają się ostatnie dni rządów Iwana Groźnego. Kto zajmie miejsce na tronie carskim, kto będzie w stanie przeprowadzić Rosję przez czasy Wielkiej Smuty i jak miłość zmieni bieg historii? Odpowiedzi na te pytania odnajdziemy w serialu o Borysie Godunowie, w którym połączyły się fakty historyczne z fikcją artystyczną, los carskiej rodziny i wielkie tajemnice miłości i władzy.
